The European cloud operator’s managed solution is designed to enhance communication and reduce travel costs for Eurosport teams in Europe and Asia.
“With European markets still struggling to steer through the economic downturn, organisations across every industry are being challenged to become leaner, whilst also improving business performance,” said Jan Louwes, EVP of enterprise solutions at Interoute.
“Video conferencing, delivered through the cloud, is the perfect solution for this – cutting the costs of business travel, which in turn speeds up business processes.”
Interoute will deploy and manage its video conferencing system in Paris – where Eurosport is headquartered – the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and Hong Kong.
“We are proud to be working with Eurosport; helping it deliver on its commitment to innovate, with the help of Interoute’s fully managed video-as-a-service solution,” Louwes added.
Interoute already delivers high-capacity VPN services to Eurosport and the addition of the VaaS solution is expected to act as a secure and compact platform for the company.
Interoute have been shortlisted for best pan-European wholesale provider in Capacity’s upcoming awards, and earlier this year deployed Infinera’s 100G platform across its pan-European network.
