Al Sunna has held the position of managing director at Iraq’s Asiacell since February 2013 and before that he was group CEO of wi-tribe in Jordan.
Al Sunna succeeds Diar Ahmed, who held the Asiacell CEO position for nearly six years and will remain at the company as chief advisor to the chairman, Faruk Mustafa Rasool.
“Amer Al Sunna will be a great asset to Asiacell and we are confident he will hit the ground running,” Rasool said.
“His vast experience, knowledge and understanding of the issues important to our business and the telecoms industry will help continue the success of our operation.”
