SMARTify is an SaaS software solution designed to make meter data management more efficient for electric utility providers.
Telekom Austria Group will be responsible for the IT infrastructure, software and maintenance, while users will pay a monthly fee for the service.
Bernd Liebscher, MD of Telekom Austria Group M2M, said that SMARTify delivers a risk-free entry into the smart metering market, meaning customers can focus on their core business operations while Telekom Austria Group supports their networking solutions.
“SMARTify was specifically designed to meet the demands of the Austrian market – it is the most cost-efficient solution currently available on the market and complies with all legal requirements,” Liebscher said.
“The introduction of smart metering allows for great synergies between telcos and power supply companies, enabling unparalleled co-operation between these two industries.”
Telekom Austria also guarantees that the SMARTify solution will create a definitive separation between single utility providers and their data to ensure that power supply companies only have access to data from their end-customers.
Telekom Austria Group M2M added FLEXify to its M2M portfolio in August.
