The new network will provide dark fibre infrastructure to support C4L’s new core TX network which connects over 55 data centres in the UK.
“Extending our network infrastructure and its capabilities is part of our vision to continue breaking down barriers faced by the UK technology community,” says Matt Hawkins, chairman of C4L. “We chose Zayo as a partner because for its existing coverage and in-depth expertise in fibre infrastructure, meaning we could depend on a quick, high-quality fibre roll-out and excellent ongoing operations.”
The agreement builds on an earlier deal between the companies, which saw the deployment of dark fibre links between 15 C4L data centres in London Docklands.
The announcement follows Zayo’s partnership with SSE Telecoms to provide the company with a dark fibre backhaul network and an additional PoP in the UK, earlier this month.
