TTK will be able to directly connect to European internet exchanges where it is not present, including PLIX in Warsaw, NIX.CZ in Prague, Espanix in Madrid, MIX in Milan and France IX in Paris, across Hibernia’s Ethernet network.
“Hibernia Networks has a robust network footprint,” said Vitaly Kotov, VP and head of the backbone unit for TTK. “By using Hibernia’s extensive presence at all of the Europe exchange points, TTK raises the quality and performance of its internet services.”
TTK is already connected to major internet exchanges in Europe, including LINX, DE-CIX and AMS-IX, and is using Hibernia’s network to extend its reach. The Russian carrier operates a fibre network with over 1.6Tbps in capacity, extending more than 76,00km throughout Russia.
“With our EtherReach Global-IX service, we can easily scale from 100Mbps to 10Gbps, allowing carriers immediate access to major global internet exchanges – all across highly optimised routes,” added Eric Gutshall, SVP global sales for Hibernia Networks. “These qualities are key for content providers and carriers worldwide.”
