The agreements will see the deployment of a 4G LTE-based mobile network core (CSCF) for VoLTE in the operator’s network, as well as the reuse of several functions from its fixed IMS network core.
The Paris-based vendor will support Bouygues to deploy new SBC equipment, which will ensure the security of mobile and fixed IP interconnections with other operators.
Co-operation plans also include the provision of IP equipment core and edge routers for the renovation of the IP MPLS backbone used to transport all 2G/3G/4G mobile traffic.

The deal builds on a contract between the two companies signed at the end of 2013, for the upgrade of Bouygues Telecom’s high-speed optical network with 100Gbps technology.
Earlier this week, Bouygues increased its bid for Vivendi’s mobile arm, SFR.
