CTEX’s CU-1 data centre is the world’s 14th facility to receive the certification, and the company claims it is also the first multi-tenant data centre in Latin America to receive both Design and Constructed Facility qualification.
“For regional customers it means access to a world-class ‘in-region’ data centre located in a safe jurisdiction,” said Anthony de Lima, chairman and CEO at CTEX.
CTEX was awarded Tier-IV Design certification by the Uptime Institute in June 2013, and subsequently received ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.
Its certification as a Constructed Facility means that the facility and all data centre infrastructure components have been built according to original Tier-IV design and engineering specifications.
