According to local reports, services will be rolled out to the cities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys by the end of Q1 next year.
The LTE-A network is expected to enable customers to access the internet at data rates of up to 300Mbps and a number of Wifi hotspots are thought to already have been installed in 11 restaurants in Palanda and Nida across the Baltic Sea region.
Bite is owned by private equity firm Mid Europa Capital Partners, and in October 2013, it secured spectrum in the 791-821MHz and 832-862MHz bands at the country’s auction.
