Cloudmark’s messaging security software is designed to protect Beeline’s 56.3 million mobile customers from phishing and malware attacks across email, SMS and MMS.
Alexey Nazarov, implementation solutions director of marketing business at Beeline, said that since November 2013 the company has waged a tough fight against third parties sending unwanted spam to its subscribers.
“The nature and format of this spam is constantly changing and so we need to implement a solution that would be able to respond quickly to latest revisions and new threats to protect our subscribers from the annoying and often dangerous SMS threats coming through from other mobile networks,” Nazarov said.
“Since the first phase of implementation, we have been able to drastically reduce the amount of spam, and we will continue to work with Cloudmark to ensure customers feel as confident as possible when using our services.”
Cloudmark is working with its local partner Lanit – Russia’s largest systems integrator – to implement and support the project.
“We have created a solution that offers unrivalled flexibility and a unique approach to spam protection the enables Beeline to meet the needs of this landscape,” said Neil Cook, CTO at Cloudmark.
“Cloudmark’s intelligent anti-spam platform integrates several tools designed to recognise spam and alert the operator, with an adaptive mechanism that identifies anything from standard spam to complex and distributed attacks.”
