Honda deployed the service in its delivery centres in Japan and Singapore in 2013. It is said to have also increased file-sharing speeds by a factor of 14.
Honda is presently expanding NTT’s Enterprise Cloud infrastructure to other key areas of its global business, which encompasses more than 10,000 suppliers across 54 countries.
“[NTT’s] cloud infrastructure has enabled us to collaborate much more closely with our suppliers around the globe. We also have streamlined and standardised processes and increased security while slashing the cost and time of new system deployment,” said Mikiya Fujita, manager of system service division, global master management department, Honda.
NTT’s global cloud infrastructure is provided from 11 delivery centres in 9 countries, and leverages SDN and NFV platforms.
