Muga will head up Airtel Money, while Ramakrishnan will take on the role of finance director for the Indian operator’s Kenyan operations.
Muga was previously principal product development manager, M-Pesa, at Vodafone Group UK, and with more than 8 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, she is well-suited to tackle Africa’s illustrious mobile money market.
Ramakrishnan is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Chartered Accountants of India, and has held financial roles for Vodafone in Bangalore and Standard Chartered in Thailand.
