The deal is designed to enable the carrier to supplement its own product portfolio of network and access services by offering business customers in Sweden a set of new solutions.
Malin Frenning, EVP of TeliaSonera and head of region in Sweden, said the acquisition of Ipeer will enable the operator to provide new types of cloud services to supplement its business solutions.
“Ipeer provides technology and competence in cloud and hosting services for both small and large companies,” he said. “Thanks to our billion investment in infrastructure, we will be able to offer total solutions allowing our business customers to use the almost unlimited opportunities provided by digitalisation in society.”
Ipeer has 65 employees, with operations across Sweden and India. Financial details of the deal were undisclosed.
