With immediate effect, Xu will take over of as head of Pacnet Business Solutions (PBS), and the move is designed to help drive the company’s expansion plans in the Chinese data centre and networking market.
Xu has over 25 years’ experience in the IT and data centre industry, previously serving as SVP at GDS Services, and was responsible for sales, marketing, solutions and government relations.
"We have a unique combination of assets that enable us to offer a truly-differentiated value proposition to our customers and be at the centre of megatrends like the increasing adoption of cloud computing and big data,” said Xu. “PBS already has an extensive domestic footprint in telecoms as well as Tier-III data centre infrastructure and operations in major Chinese markets, which we will continue to strengthen.”
Most recently, Xu served as GM of China Medium Business, and has held several senior positions at technology companies, including Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Motorola.
