According to local reports, Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) claims total investment in the country’s telecoms sector has reached $40 billion.
The investment is said to have been driven by the deregulation of the country’s telecoms sector and the recent arrival of international operators such as MTN, Airtel and Etisalat.
Telecoms is said to have contributed 4.69% to Nigeria’s GDP over the last four years.
