The extended agreement will enable Openet to resell OpenCloud’s products and further strengthen its voice capabilities for legacy intelligent network (IN) replacements, as well as VoLTE services.
“We are pleased to be strengthening our partnership with OpenCloud,” said Niall Norton, CEO at Openet. “By reselling OpenCloud’s technology, we can add further value to our market-leading IN replacement capability and deliver an unrivalled solution to mobile operators around the world.”
Openet and OpenCloud’s previous collaboration included the integration of a number of services between the two companies, and the extension is expected to deepen this integration for the delivery of comprehensive voice, messaging and data IN replacement solutions.
The two companies believe legacy IN replacement to be a growing concern for mobile operators, and they hope their closer integration to help carriers to overcome this by accelerating time to market for new services and business models.
“Telecoms operators need solutions to take them forward more competitively,” said Jeff Gordon, CEO at OpenCloud. “The combined OpenCloud-Openet solution is well-positioned to lead the market in meeting those needs.”
