The arrangement will allow Digital Realty customers to access Zayo’s Connect to the Cloud platform, which enables users to connect to more than 24 leading cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and IBM SoftLayer.
Digital Realty’s direct connect option is designed to improve user experience by providing lower latency, increased security and lower bandwidth costs. The agreement will allow Digital Realty’s clients to deploy hybrid cloud services through Zayo’s network, as well as access pricing, place orders and view existing and pending services through its Tranzact shopping platform.
“This agreement builds on a longstanding relationship with Zayo,” said Mike Bohlig, director of global alliances at Digital Realty. “Zayo’s footprint complements our global portfolio of data centres, enabling us to provide mutual customers with a diverse set of services, including connectivity to a wide range of cloud providers.”
