Stanford was an O2 employee for six years from January 2003, and now returns to the company at what he believes to be an optimal time.
“This is a fantastic time to be joining the O2 enterprise team, as we can really help businesses, showing them how technology can help them work smarter,” Stanford said.
Stanford replaces Darren Buttrick – who is to take on the role of sales director at Telefónica Global Solutions – and will be responsible for O2’s enterprise private sector sale team, helping them to expand their ICT and digital portfolio.
Stanford will report in to Gavin Frank, head of the enterprise team at O2, and Ben Dowd, business director at the company, said that Stanford’s “impressive track-record” of driving business growth, made him the ideal choice of candidate.
“We have ambitions to accelerate growth in the enterprise sector and Simon will be instrumental in demonstrating technology for private sector organisations,” Dowd added.
