The announcement comes as Axtel and America Movil agreed to terminate various disputes related to interconnection services.
Axtel received ($62.81 million) 950 million pesos for agreeing to end the disputes. It also entered into agreements for the commercialisation or resale of telecoms services as well as the access and sharing of passive infrastructure with Telcel and Telmex respectively.
Mexico’s telecoms market has undergone sweeping reforms since 2013 as part of a government effort to attract investment and end billionaire Carlos Slim’s monopoly on the market.
