Orchid One combines switching, services and monitoring into a single platform, and is designed to enable InComm’s network services division to deliver high quality services with easy-to-use and intuitive network management.
Andreas Hipp, CEO at Cataleya – an Epsilon subsidiary – explained that Orchid One was created to make managing high traffic volumes and complex partner relationships simple.
“Its analytics dashboard makes network intelligence accessible and allows our customers to proactively monitor and enhance network performance,” Hipp said.
“InComm benefits from Orchid One’s built-in scalability and will continue to benefit from it as its traffic volumes grow.”
InComm Network Services facilitates connectivity between national and regional operators, and due to increasing traffic volume, was looking for scaling and monitoring efficiencies to enhance its network offering.
“We now gather real-time network intelligence that enables us to make quick and informed decisions about our network,” said Bill Salmon, VP of network engineering at InComm.
“That is a lot more powerful than waiting for post processed CDR information and doing our best with that. Orchid One really changes what we can do with our network and we can offer more services to our customers.”
In September 2014, UK-based managed services provider SmartIPX deployed the Orchid One platform.
