Crull’s role will come into effect on May 31, 2015, and he will report directly to Sprint president and CEO Marcelo Claure.
He will be responsible for all products and services, brand and advertising, customer acquisition and retention, as well as digital and social strategies.
“Sprint is privileged to attract someone of his calibre and experience in media, content, and mobile,” said Claure.
“As the industry shifts towards providing unique experiences and content to wireless customers, Kevin’s exceptional experience will allow him to be a great contributor in Sprint’s transformation journey.”
Crull has served as chief operating officer at Bell Media in Canada for the last five years, and it is widely believed that the company asked Crull to step down following reports that he intervened in news coverage at the company’s television stations.
