Qualcomm will allegedly sell L-Band spectrum which is designed to increase the download capacity that mobile operators offer their customers.
“Qualcomm UK Spectrum (QUKS), Qualcomm’s subsidiary that owns L-Band spectrum rights in the UK, plans to trade this spectrum,” the company said in a statement.
The spectrum sale is expected to appeal to many operators across the country attempting to meet the growing demand for internet access from their mobile customers.
In April this year, the UK’s EE launched what it claims is the country’s first Wifi calling service.
