Telekom Austria Group posts first half results for 2015

Telekom Austria Group has announced its financial results for the first half of FY15, with revenues remaining stable at €1,938.8 million compared to the previous year.

The Austrian market helped drive growth in H1 2015, with revenues and EBITDA comparable increasing by 2.5% and 14.4% respectively. This was attributed to customer growth in mobile, fixed-line and TV.

However, challenging market conditions in Bulgaria, which Telekom Austria Group attributes to intensive competition and a weak economic environment, saw revenues and EBITDA comparable dropping by 5% and 11.8% respectively

Croatia, Belarus and the group’s additional markets segment, which includes Slovenia, Macedonia and Slovenia, reported increases in EBITDA comparable despite declining revenues.

“With a net profit of more than €170 million for the first half of 2015, we were able to achieve the best set of results of the past six years. This was only possible thanks to the outstanding performance of Telekom Austria Group’s employees. Particularly worthy of mention in this context is the great performance of the Austrian business,” said Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO Telekom Austria Group and A1.
