Interoute launches trans-Pacific network

Interoute has completed deployment of two trans-Pacific routes between Los Angeles (LA), US and Hong Kong.

The addition will provide Interoute enterprise customers with faster access between the US and Asia, and means that the company’s low latency network now circles the globe.

The route is due to go live in September this year, and has been built on Interoute’s private MPLS network.

“Our investment in new links between Asia and the US signified the next stage in the development of Interoute’s global networked cloud,” said Mark Lewis, VP communications and connectivity at Interoute.

“Our customers wishing to expand across the globe need a network and services platform that truly supports their digital businesses.”

Interoute has integrated its MPLS network with its cloud infrastructure platform, Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC), designed to streamline business activity across multiple markets.

“With the launch of these new connections, Interoute is delivering the network capacity and service platforms that enterprises need to grow across the Pacific and around the world,” Lewis added.

Interoute has numerous VDC zones across the globe including in the UK, Madrid, Germany, Zurich, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.
