The move will see the Philippines operator added to the AWS partner network, which offers a range of web-based services including compute, storage, network, mobile and database.
The move aims to strengthen PLDT’s ICT offering to enterprise customers.
“Achieving AWS Registered Partner and Direct Connect Partner status is an important milestone for us, as it underscores our commitment to constantly enhance the solutions we deliver and the support we provide to all our customers,” said Eric Alberto, PLDT EVP for enterprise and international and carrier business group.
In June it was reported that PLDT is planning to invest up to $100 million on the construction of its second submarine cable to the US.
