Last year’s winner of Best African Wholesale Carrier, Liquid Telecom, finds itself on both shortlists, and the operator will be hoping to cap another fine year as it continues to build the region’s largest single fibre network.
Subsea cable operator WIOCC also makes both shortlists, after opening PoPs in Zambia and upgrading capacity on the system.
New entrants to this year’s African categories include Sudanese operator Sudatel and Emerging Markets Communications.

The shortlist has been independently marked by a panel of 20 judges, which includes leading analysts, industry experts and Capacity’s senior editorial team.
The winners will be announced at the Global Carrier Awards ceremony and gala dinner on November 3 2015 at Capacity Europe’s new home in Paris, France.
