The company will discuss the future of Inwit at a board meeting this week, according to its CEO Marco Patuano. Despite the strong interest, there was still no concrete offers for the business, he added.
"We built a company that is financially very light to keep our hands free and able to move in all directions," said Patuano.
In June 2015, the operator raised around €875 million after selling a 40% stake in the unit in an IPO.
Spain’s Cellnex confirmed last week that it is not seeking to purchase Inwit, quashing rumours that it was acquiring the unit.
Patuano added that Telecom Italia will be reviewing its strategy in Brazil as a result of worsening economic situation in the country.
