The service is said to offer the ability to prioritise critical network-based applications, such as video or voice over IP traffic. It can be added to select Verizon private network 4G devices and features different service level options.
Verizon claims to be the first US carrier to offer such a service, which aims to support growing enterprise mobility and IoT adoption.
“The seamless integration of Verizon’s private wireless network with the company’s global IP private wireline network extends the enterprise to a wireless environment, offering significant benefits for leveraging the IoT and other mobility initiatives,” said Kathryn Weldon, principal analyst for enterprise mobility with Current Analysis.
Earlier this month, Verizon announced it will be trialling 5G in the US.
