The country has been selling spectrum in the 800MHz and 2.6GHz bands over the last seven months and the country's office of electronic communications could end the auction in October 2015, according to Andrzej Halicki, head of Poland’s inistry of administration and digitisation.
"It's in the interest of Poles to distribute the frequencies," said Halicki, adding that the regulator should close the auction soon. "The end would be possible in the first 10 days of October."
The auction was expected to raise $426 million (1.6 billion zlotys) for the state. Declared bids have so far surpassed the amount, with bids totalling €1.8 billion as of 24 September 2015.
