The Angolan incumbent offers voice and data fixed-line services over ADSL and fibre, and the integrated solution will include CSG Singleview Convergent Rating & Billing, Singleview Customer Management and Intermediate. Its deployment of CSG Interconnect will also expand to include CSG Route and Financial Manager.
The implementation of CSG’s solutions is expected to transform Angola Telecom’s back office system and is part of the company’s wider investment plan that includes the roll-out of its next-generation network (NGN), fibre-optic and IP/MPLS backbone.
“Our focus is to bring the best level of service to the people of Angola,” said João Martins, CEO at Angola Telecom.
“Satec with CSG will provide a complete and integrated solution that will enable us to manage our business for retail, enterprise and wholesale services, allowing us to grow, become profitable and deliver better services in an optimal manner to our customers.”
Satec will design and build Angola Telecom’s information systems using CSG solutions to cover all BSS functionalities. This is expected to help Angola Telecom operate in a cost-effective, flexible and scalable manner.
“CSG is extremely pleased to be a part of the transformation of Angola Telecom and a strategic partner with Satec in the region. We are committed to providing the best solution, resources, and optimised models for dynamic, emerging markets around the world,” said George Fraser, VP of CSG EMEA.
“Our team of professionals established a strong level of trust during the pilot phase, and we look forward to a successful deployment of the full solution and growing our relationship with both Angola Telecom and Satec.”
