The renewal, which takes effect from 2016, will see Swisscom’s customers continue to enjoy enhanced roaming benefits, such as high-speed data in locations where Vodafone operates a 4G network. In turn, Vodafone’s consumer and enterprise customers will be able to roam on Swisscomm’s network in Switzerland.
“We are delighted to renew our longstanding partner market agreement with Swisscom, building towards a decade of successful collaboration,” said Stefano Gastaut, chief executive at Vodafone Partner Markets.
In addition, the combined footprint of Swisscom and Vodadone enables corporate customers to connect across over 80 markets. Swisscom will also leverage Vodafone’s scale to deliver procurement efficiencies, including the purchasing of network infrastructure, IT equipment and handsets.
