Rossabi will lead the development and execution of Telx’s global strategic initiatives. He reports to COO Jarrett Appleby.
“As a former executive vice president at Telx, Tony was instrumental in building the Telx platform over the past three years, and he has already played a critical part in the ongoing and very successful integration process,” said A. William Stein, CEO of Digital Realty. “We are certain that the broader organisation will continue to benefit from his perspective. Tony has an impressive track record of providing leadership and product innovation at large, multinational companies, and we are confident that he is well-suited to guide and grow our Telx line of business into the future.”
Most recently Rossabi served as EVP at Telx. Prior to joining Telx in 2012, he was SVP of global carrier solutions at Tata Communications. He has held a series of senior leadership roles at BellSouth (AT&T) and WilTel (Level 3), where he focussed on product innovation, international growth strategies and customer services.
Rossabi said: “Digital Realty’s considerable colocation and interconnection capabilities, combined with our expanding international data centre campus footprint, gives us the unparalleled ability to deliver to our customers a complete range of data centre solutions on a global scale. I look forward to working with the Telx and Digital Realty teams to provide our customers the solutions they need to compete in an increasingly data-driven world.”
Last July, Digital Realty announced its acquisition of Telx for $1.89 billion in a deal that is said to double its footprint in the co-location business and provide its customers better access to Telx's interconnection platform.
