Global Capacity expands One Marketplace in San Francisco

At Metro Connect 2016 in Miami, US, Global Capacity revealed that it has expanded its One Marketplace network in San Francisco, California, with a metro fibre ring for the provision of connectivity services.

The expansion is a diverse, 72-mile fibre ring in the area, and over the last eight months Global Capacity has lit over 210 miles of fibre across Dallas, Atlanta, Washington DC, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and now San Francisco.

“Global Capacity is aggressively investing in building out metro fibre in several key markets precisely because there is high customer demand for our services in those locations,” said Patrick Hannon, chief revenue officer at Global Capacity.

“Expanding our network presence allows Global Capacity to offer services that enable our customers’ solutions – voice, data and the cloud – at any speed from 1Mbps to 10Gbps.”

Global Capacity provides customers in each locality with a portfolio of data connectivity services to support internet, video, voice and cloud applications that demand flexible, scalable and secure connectivity.

In May last year, Global Capacity announced a collaboration with Equinix to provide enterprise customers with direct access to cloud service providers on Equnix’s Cloud Exchange.
