The two companies announced at Mobile World Congress that they will cooperate in the global sales of solutions and products and work together to lead standardisation of innovative technologies, including 5G and software-defined data centres.
They will also make joint efforts to expand markets for their solutions and products or services.

By building on each other’s strengths, we will unlock new growth opportunities and pave the way for the future ICT industry.”
Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom, said: “The development and exchange of new services will help both companies generate more benefit for our customers.”
They also agreed to launch Deutsche Telekom’s in-car wifi solution in the Korean market. They have agreed to introduce SK Telecom’s pico beamer to Germany in the second quarter of 2016 and then to other countries in Europe.
The two companies will conduct a feasibility test for the potential commercialisation of cloud streaming in Deutsche Telekom’s footprint by the second quarter of 2016. SK Telecom said it expects to secure a bridgehead to enter into the European markets with its cloud streaming solution.
Earlier in the week at MWC Deutsche Telekom announced that SK Telecom was one of three partners it had recruited – along with CenturyLink and Reliance Jio – for its Ngena alliance of operators to provide services for enterprise customers.
