The move is said to enable Etisalat Misr’s enterprise customers to quickly launch M2M and IoT services by adopting OT’s M-Sense solution.
“OT has been a long-term partner for Etisalat, already supplying Etisalat with both SIM cards and secure mission-critical software platforms. Our IoT solutions will dramatically improve energy efficiency, security, logistics, education and many other aspects of everyday things,” said Khaled Rabie CBO at Etisalat Misr.
Etisalat will use M-Sense to accelerate deployment of vertical applications for enterprises operating in transport, oil and energy or real estate sectors.
The agreement will focus on enhancing sensor data visualisation, reporting, business rules and off-the-shelf applications in order to further build customised applications.
The news comes after OT and Etisalat Group (Abu Dhabi) signed a frame agreement in July 2015.
