Eid will remain the chief commercial officer of GBI and will additionally take on the CEO responsibilities moving forwards.
“Amr Eid will focus on leading GBI through its progressive growth plans spearheading the company’s transformation and will enforce GBI’s positioning as a global multilayer services provider,” said Abdulla Al Rwaili, executive vice chairman and managing director of GBI.
Eid, who has over 23 years of experience in technology and telecommunications, was nominated by the board of directors in recognition of his accomplishments to date.
