The network aims to connect data centres in Northern and Central Europe to China, via Finland and Russia.
Cinia’s C-Lion subsea cable, which stretches 1,172km across the Baltic Sea, will provide a connection between Finland and Germany, where it then plans to establish a low-latency route onto China.
Huawei will supply a transmission platform supporting up to 21T per pair of fibre,.
