Thakur will lead all aspects of Global Capacity’s One Marketplace network strategy, architecture, engineering and planning. He has over 25 years of experience at tw telecom and CENX working in telecoms engineering, network design, architecture, planning, deployment, capacity management and sales engineering.
“[Thakur's] track record will be invaluable as we continue to invest in our next-generation network services, expand our Ethernet architecture and deliver cloud-enabling services and technologies," said Jack Lodge, president of Global Capacity.
Thakur was most recently VP of engineering and technology for TelePacific Communications – a position he has held since September 2012 – where he led product development support of next-generation services such as IP/VPN and VPLS wide-area Ethernet.
