Ikeno, who joined NEC in April 1984, will be tasked with leading NEC’s development of know-how, solutions and services for a broad range of customers, from telecom operators to enterprises and the public sector in the EMEA region.
"I am excited to take on this new role, where I look forward to leading NEC Europe’s cultivation of new and existing partnerships across EMEA, as a leader in the provision of advanced solutions that support the reinforcement and sophistication of social infrastructure," said Ikeno.
Prior to his appointment, he was the vice president of NEC Corporation’s global business unit, where he was responsible for NEC’s international business operations in North America, Latin America and EMEA.
NEC stated that in recent years, Ikeno has “played a leading role in the transition of NEC’s global business from a product-based business to a solution-based business”.
