Geldmacher will oversee business-to-business sales and business development, supporting enterprise customers with wireless communications solutions and services. He will report to Marcelo Claure, Sprint president and CEO.
“Our network is performing better than ever, making it the ideal time to double-down on our efforts and focus on winning again in the Enterprise segment,” said Claure. “Jan’s impressive track record of driving growth and market share while integrating new technologies and launching new products makes him the perfect leader for this important business unit.”
He joins Sprint from Vodafone where he led its Global Enterprise unit and was responsible for defining its strategy and operational execution of the company’s relationship with multinational corporate customers. He has also previously served as CEO of British Telecom Germany.
“Sprint is a respected brand, and Enterprise is an excellent opportunity to grow the company’s market share, reduce churn and improve customer satisfaction,” said Geldmacher. “I have a great deal of experience in managing large Enterprise teams in tough markets, and I am eager to join Sprint and be a part of its turnaround.”
Sprint stated its network is prepared to serve national business clients with many lines, devices and mobility issues and “under Geldmacher’s leadership, Sprint will begin aggressively targeting and serving enterprise companies of all sizes”.
