FiberLight, the fibre-optic network solutions provider, has launched its 100-Gigabit (100G) long-haul connectivity between its metro networks. This provides point-to-point connectivity between cities in different states across its network of metro markets.
Kevin Coyne, FiberLight’s chief financial officer said: “These long-haul circuits connect our dense metro networks in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast with Texas, making FiberLight’s footprint one continuous carrier-class network.”
Traditionally, FiberLight has been a provider of last-mile service for companies needing point-to-point transport and dedicated bandwidth within some of the country’s most rapidly growing cities, including four of Inc.’s top 10 cities for fast growing companies on its recently released Inc. 5000 list.
This latest offering directly connects hubs in Ashburn, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Tampa and Washington, D.C., and will provide additional connectivity into its many other networks in Texas, including Houston and Austin. The 100-Gigabit backbone network ring also provides interconnection between various markets and subsea landing points and enhances connectivity to thousands of on-net and near-net buildings.
