This development will provide an improved service to Lycamobile’s 1.934m customers in the country, underlining the company’s commitment to enriching customer experience in its existing markets as it continues to expand internationally.
“The introduction of 4G services in Spain demonstrates our commitment to Lycamobile customers in the country, who will benefit from the availability of fast, high-quality data,” said Allirajah Subaskaran, Lyca Group chairman.
“With approximately 10% of Spain’s population being made up of foreign-born citizens, this development will make it quicker and easier than ever for our customers to connect with their communities and loved ones across the globe.”
The news comes after Lycamobile announced it was to launch its MVNO services in South Africa running on Cell C’s network and that it had acquired Belgian operator Ortel Mobile, while also agreeing an MVNO deal with Ortel-parent Telenet.
