The Unlimited International Calling plan means existing Etisalat can make unlimited international calls to a mobile or fixed line in a country selected from a list of 64.
The plan, which costs AED 150 ($40.84) per month, with subscribers also able to make calls to countries other than the selected one under normal standard call rates. The deal is also not subject to a contract, meaning customers can discontinue or resume the plan at any time.
Khaled ElKhouly, chief consumer officer, Etisalat said: “The new ‘Unlimited International Calling Plan’ is another example of how we are constantly evolving our services to meet the growing needs of our customers in the country. The new unlimited International calling plan means customers can keep in touch with their loved ones for a convenient price from the comfort of their home.”
It comes as Etisalat has reached new record speeds of over 70Gbps in live 5G trials.The tests were done over a 'pre-commercial’ 5G site operating over e-band using 2GHz of bandwidth as well as massive MIMO technologies. The news comes ahead of the planned deployment of 5G to the UAE in 2020.
