The two-year deal, worth around AUD$40 million, will give Exetel’s customers access to reliable, high quality connectivity that also allows scalability and speeds up to five times those available on its existing network, Exetel said.

Exetel has seen its average bandwidth per business customer more than triple over the last two years to 67Mbps in 2017, and expects this to top 100Mbps by the end of FY2018.
It supports over 10,000 Australian companies, and its corporate division has increased by over 400% in the past four years.
This latest deal with Telstra Wholesale makes Exetel the third largest purchaser of the Australian incumbent’s Ethernet Access services in the country.
