Netanyahu, who denies all allegations, is accused of buying favourable coverage in a news site by adjusting policies to favour Bezeq’s owner, Shaul Elovitch.
In addition to his prime ministerial role, Netanyahu was the minister in charge of telecoms for more than two years until February 2017.
Elovitch was arrested earlier this year. A report earlier last week said police were likely to recommend Netanyahu be indicted on charges of bribery.
According to reports, police have questioned Netanyahu 12 times over various cases. Reports suggest he is also facing questioning in two other cases, neither of which involve Bezeq.
