An industry veteran with over 30 years’ in the sector, Jefferies will use his regional experience as well as internationally to build upon Ciena’s exiting success in EMEA, while based in Ciena’s London office.

One of Jefferies most notable achievements at Ciena has been his success while leading the Verizon account. More recently he led the Ciena team that supported Verizon’s One Network initiative, the strategy to consolidate and operate a single seamless network infrastructure, which Ciena leveraged its WaveLogic coherent optical and Packet Networking platforms.
Adding to is 30 years of telecoms experience Jefferies also has 15 years of leadership experience in both the US and Europe, spanning a number of roles including; sales, engineering, operations, project management and business development.
Prior to joining Ciena, Jefferies held several global sales and leadership positions at Nortel Networks. He led the major account teams in EMEA for Nortel Networks’ MEN division for five years and continues to lead after the Ciena acquisition for another eight years.
