The collaboration will enable companies to accelerate their deployments and create cost savings while at the same time establishing a presence in the global carrier hotel’s building.
“The DataGryd infrastructure at 60 Hudson is unrivalled, and coupled with NYI’s capabilities, makes for an incredibly compelling offering,” said Tom Brown, president and CEO of DataGryd. “The number one challenge we hear from our prospective customers is the high cost of operations based on things like interconnection costs. By leveraging NYI’s assets, we can now provide an alternative so that customers can bypass the building’s traditional Meet-Me points. This will result in significant reductions to a company’s total cost of ownership within the building and will allow businesses to scale more easily.”
Both parties say that this high-level of flexibility and scalability supports growing technology needs and ensures that businesses can successfully future-proof their infrastructure strategy. Together, their combined capabilities and expertise can address any combination of infrastructure, network connectivity, colocation, cloud, hybrid IT and managed services.
“We are excited to partner with DataGryd to effectively remove traditional barriers to deploying top-tier infrastructure in New York City. Our joint capabilities will allow NYI to offer existing customers near-infinite scalability and to support new content or cloud providers needing a large-scale deployment at the Edge,” said Phil Koblence, COO and co-Founder of NYI.
Customers of NYI will large footprint requirements can use DataGryd’s infrastructure while still having access to NYI’s suite of hybrid solutions and managed services. Conversely, DataGryd customers can have immediate access to NYI’s colocation, custom hybrid solutions, direct SDN-enabled onramp to the cloud and managed network capabilities with incurring costly charges.
In September, DataGryd appointed Bill Betz as its new vice president of sales. Upon entering the role Betz is responsible for the sales execution of DataGryd’s 60,000 sqft facility located on the sixth floor of 60 Hudson Street.
