Under the extended agreement, True’s convergence platform will be expanded with additional support for internet of things (IoT) services.
“Our commitment to continuously improving customer experience, while delivering compelling offerings and digital services, has been consistently fuelling our growth,” said Viriya Upatising, chief information officer, at True Corporation. “With the launch of IoT services we further enable our customers’ digital lifestyle.”
The expanded convergence platform will allow True to quickly launch offers which combines mobile, broadband and fixed-line, with pay TV and digital services and content. In addition, it will be able to offer connected world IoT services for both enterprises and consumers, multiple IoT devices with a single number.
“The connected world is all about IoT and True is helping to lead the way with its successful roll out of these services for both enterprises and consumers,” said Gary Miles, chief marketing officer at Amdocs. “With the addition of IoT, which is heading for mass adoption in 2019, True will be able to offer their customers a complete connected world offering.”
The new offering represents the next step in a transformation journey where Amdocs deployed its Convergence Multiplay solution, to help drive True’s impressive market growth.
Back in September, PLDT, a Philippines-based telco, extended its strategic partnership with Amdocs, with a six-year service agreement. Earlier this year PLDT, Smart and Amdocs entered into a seven-year master transformation agreement to upgrade IT applications and introduce a number of digital technologies. In doing so, PLDT says it will be able to deliver improved customer experiences across both fixed line and mobile networks.
