As managing director of BT Security, Brown will be tasked with directing BT’s physical and cyber security activities on a global basis, heading up one of the British telco’s fastest growing divisions.
BT Security providers cyber security service across 180 countries, with over 3,000 security experts protecting its own operations as well as its customers’ networks. Its network of security operations centres protects BT against over 125,000 cyber-attacks every month.
Brown has been with BT since 2012, following a 20-year career in law enforcement. He previously led BT Security’s engagement with international governments as well as its relationships with global law enforcement agencies such as Interpol and Europol.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be leading BT’s security operations at a time when the need to protect households, business, governments and entire nation states from damaging cyber-attacks has never been greater.
