The data centre services arm of NTT Communications will offload the two facilities to GI Partners, a private investment firm that has raised over $17 billion in capital through a combination of private equity and real estate.
The deal will see NTT lease both sites back from GI on a long-term basis. The Quincy data centre is a 180,000 square foot facility that was built in 2012 and offers robust, redundant infrastructure including 14MW of gross power.
The Plano facility is a campus rich in infrastructure, with over one million square feet of space, including office space and an owned, expandable on-site substation. Two data centre facilities on the site will be leased back to NTT Data.
These deal to buy these properties add to the technology real estate portfolios owned and managed by GI Partners and its affiliates, which now total 33 properties comprising 8.3 million square feet across 14 different markets.
