The rebrand sees products that had been sold under the CLX, Sinch, Symsoft, and Vehicle brands integrated into a unified offering of RCS, SMS, voice, video and personalised messaging services.
According to CEO Oscar Werner, the decision to bring together the Sinch business units will allow the company more exposure for its full portfolio of products. CLX has been using the Sinch trading name for its real-time voice and video products since it completed an acquisition of Sinch AB in 2016.
“We are redefining how businesses engage with their customers through cloud-based tools and mobile technology. We want our brand to expose the full width of our product portfolio and our market-leading expertise at the intersection of tech and telecoms,” said Warner.
Sweden-based CLX was founded 10 years ago, and now sees revenues of nearly $430 million per year with over 500 employees across the globe. The company offers cloud-based services in messaging, voice and video to enterprise customers and channel partners.
The Sinch branding and merger of the business units will happen immediately, although it is subject to formal approval at the firm’s annual general meeting, which will be held on 17 May. After this, the stock-listed parent-company, CLX Communications, will change its name to Sinch AB.
“Whether you look for the unmatched reach and immediacy of a text message, or the immersive experience of personalized video, Sinch has the tools needed to engage with your customers, grow your business, and enrich your digital customer experience,” added Werner.
